For over past 17 years our program has been providing services to victims of sexual assault and sexual abuse throughout the 8 counties of the Lincoln Trail Area Development District. In the years 2000, our program moved from being under the umbrella of the regional mental health centers to establishing as a free-standing not for profit agency. Our program is unique in Kentucky as combined rape crisis and children advocacy centers, offering a full array of services to child sexual abuse victims as well as adult rape victims. We have established our services, at no cost, with victims and non-offending family members to include:

* 24 hour Crisis Intervention over the phone or in person at medical and law enforcement facilities
* Medical Accompaniment to the related medical exams
* Information and Referral for anyone needing assistance or wanting to learn more about sexual victimization
* Victim Advocacy for assistance in navigating the complexities of the court system
* Counseling for individuals and non-offending family having short-term mental health needs
* Consultation and Training for professionals or community groups wanting to enhance skills working with sexual assault or abuse cases
* Education Programs for any group, professional or community, on sexual victimization awareness and prevention
* On-site medical examinations for victims of sexual assault who are 14 year old or older
* Specialized medical examinations for victims under the age of 14
* Forensic Interviewing for children and teens who may need additional assistance to complete a disclosure

Not only do we have paid staff, but also we rely on the community for donations of time and financial support. We have an active network ofcommunity volunteers who offer their time to assist with victim crisis intervention, office tasks, and daily needs. All staff and volunteers are trained according to professional and state established regulations. As strong believers in continuing education, all staff and volunteers are required to receive regular supervision and training.
